Mission San Juan Capistrano is one of my favorite places to shoot any type of portraits from weddings, to engagement photos to family portraits. There is a perfect view around every corner of the Mission. One of my favorite spots in the mission is The Sacred Gardens. With the bells in the background it gives a perfect definition of Mission San Juan Capistrano.

Atzy and Chad decided to have their engagement photos at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. I love shooting here it has a view around every corner. We met the morning after it rained all night and the mission was empty and the grounds were in perfect condition. One of my favoritew places to shoot is the Sacred Garden with the four bells as a background. I loved that we were able to shoot in there uninterupted. I think we saw 2 other people the whole time we were there.
The fee for doing an engagement session inside the mission is $75.00 for one hour. The photographer must prove proof of insurance to shoot on the property, which we have. Ashley and Aryn met me fo rtheir engagement session at Heisler Park in Laguna BEach. They brought along their dog to join us. Laguna beach is really cool about having dogs on the beach!!! We walked the entire park for some great locations and finsished up on the beach by ourselves, Fishermans Cove. It has some of the coolest colors on the walls of the cliffs. Toni and Walter met me at Heisler PArk in LAguna Beach for their engagement photos. It was a great day with perfect weather. We walked the newly remodeled park and then headed down to the beach for the sunset. We had a south Swell which was producing an extra high tide and some big waves breaking on the rocks. We were limited to how much we could do but they were brave enough to hit the rocks and get some great shots. We finished up by walking to Main Beach and getting some shots with the lifegueard tower. Marlene and patrick met me in Heisler Park in Laguna Beach. It was a perfect afternoon with some nice clouds in the air. We started by walking through the park which is located on the bluffs above the beach. Following our shooting in the park we headed down to the beach for some relaxed portraits on the beach. We had a major cloud layer on the horizon which was going  to keep us from having any color in our sunset, so we shot what we could and came up with some amazing images.

Carrie and Dan decided to meet me in downtown Laguna Beach for their engagement session. We started by shooting some cool street scenes around the area. We then continued the engagement session out to the canyon in one of the wilderness parks, we got some great shots. We then continued the shoot where we included their dog Snoopy, in Heisler park followed by some beach shots. We were planning on shooting some sunset shots but the fog rolled in pretty thick so we called it a wrap. We got some amazing shots. Make sure to check out the slideshow below. ENJOY

San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California, Engagement session, Photography, Los Rios Street
Gina and Paul met me at the office in downtown San Juan Capistrano. We started out slow to get them warmed up shooting by the fountain across from my office. We continued over to the Historic Los Rios District for some fun relaxed portraits by the train tracks and a couple of my favorite doors.
Wanting to use a field we headed up north to a pretty cool field located along the freeqway. We were lucky enough to get a good field of Mustard grass and a little Orange grove.

I had the opportunity to head down to Balboa Park in San Diego this last Sunday. I squeezed two photo shoots into the trip, I shot a family session (Images to come) and I photographed Nicole and Tony’s engagement photos. I had only met Nicole’s mom and she booked my services for her March wedding at Casa Romantica in San Clemente. We met at the park and just started walking through the amazing grounds of Balboa PArk. Every turn has a new place to shoot. We covered a pretty big chunk of the park.
