Mission San Juan Capistrano is one of my favorite places to shoot any type of portraits from weddings, to engagement photos to family portraits. There is a perfect view around every corner of the Mission. One of my favorite spots in the mission is The Sacred Gardens. With the bells in the background it gives a perfect definition of Mission San Juan Capistrano.

Marlene and patrick met me in Heisler Park in Laguna Beach. It was a perfect afternoon with some nice clouds in the air. We started by walking through the park which is located on the bluffs above the beach. Following our shooting in the park we headed down to the beach for some relaxed portraits on the beach. We had a major cloud layer on the horizon which was going  to keep us from having any color in our sunset, so we shot what we could and came up with some amazing images.

I had the opportunity to head down to Balboa Park in San Diego this last Sunday. I squeezed two photo shoots into the trip, I shot a family session (Images to come) and I photographed Nicole and Tony’s engagement photos. I had only met Nicole’s mom and she booked my services for her March wedding at Casa Romantica in San Clemente. We met at the park and just started walking through the amazing grounds of Balboa PArk. Every turn has a new place to shoot. We covered a pretty big chunk of the park. Mardee and Robert are getting married next week Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach. Hotel Laguna is an awesome location right in the heart of downtown Laguna Beach. It is always a great place to shoot especially when it is hot inland and we have to shoot at the beach.
We met at Mission San Juan Capistrano for their engagement photos and we had a blast. The Mission is one of those places where at every turn you have a photo opp. We shot in the stone church, the sacred garden and near the main fountain. Florian and Sara met me at the Historic Mission San Juan Capistrano to photograph their engagement photos. We had so much fun wondering around the mission and them getting one of the famous Joe Broccardo historical tours of the mission. I love the fact that my office is literally four buildings away and i have the ability to visit the mission a few times a month.

Eydie and Robert were so much fun on their engagement session. We actually had never met and decided to start with happy hour at The Fisherman’s Restaurant on the pier to get to know the two of them. The pier is their special place. They even got engaged below the lifeguard tower, it is a great story, but I am not going to tell it, lol.
After a couple of cocktails and getting to know each other we started out. We got some stuff at the exact location of the engagement and then went down to the beach for some fun in the sand. We also had Matt and BEn with us of  HD Wedding Pros. They were shooting an engagement video with us, if I get  a chance I will post the link. They are so in love and happy that they found each other you can tell by the photos how much fun they are and they were up for anything. We shot on the lifeguard tower and we also got some random tractor shots, which cracked us up. It was a little windy and cold, that means it was like 65 degrees for you east coaters, they were troopers though and it was well worth it. Tina and Matt decided on an amazing location and we had so much fun hiking and taking some amazing engagement photos. Tina was a trooper in her boots.
